Terms of Service

These terms apply to this website and to the permit services Permigo provides. By requesting a quote or placing an order you agree to them.

What we do

Permigo is a permit service. We prepare and file oversize and overweight (OS/OW) permit applications with state, county and city authorities on your behalf, and we coordinate pilot cars, escorts and route surveys where your load requires them. We are not a motor carrier, a broker of freight, or a government agency.

Quotes and pricing

Our service fee is $20 per state permit. Government permit fees are charged at cost and itemised on your invoice. Pilot cars, escorts and route surveys are billed at the provider's own rate with no markup.

A quote is an estimate based on the dimensions and route you give us. Government fees are set by the issuing authority and can change. If the actual fee differs from the quote, the actual fee applies, and we will tell you before we file.

Your responsibilities

The dimensions, weight, axle configuration and route you give us are what we file. A permit issued against wrong information is not a valid permit for your load. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you send us, for operating within the terms printed on each permit, and for complying with all applicable regulations while you run.

What we do not control

Issuing authorities decide whether to grant a permit, how long they take, and what conditions to attach. We push, chase and resubmit, but we cannot guarantee that a permit will be issued, or issued by a particular time. Turnaround figures on this site describe typical experience, not a commitment.

Re-files and corrections

If an authority rejects an application we filed, or your route changes, we file again at no additional service fee. Government fees on a re-file are charged at cost.

Payment

You approve the total before anything is charged. No card, account or deposit is needed to get a quote.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Permigo's liability arising from our services is limited to the service fees you paid us for the order concerned. We are not liable for fines, citations, detention, downtime, lost freight or consequential losses.
